Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for major Australian TAB meetings on February 8.

Major Australian metropolitan meetings are today conducted at Caulfield, Eagle Farm, Morphettville Parks and Pinjarra.

CAULFIELD: RACE 6 @ 3:30PM

Runson flies from barrier one and Sartorial Splendour zips across from out wide. Not going to be waiting around here. Anaheed (10) looks like landing in the one-one, stalking what should be a hot speed, and that is a great spot for her. 1100m is probably as sharp as she wants but a strong tempo sets it up well for her. Very strong filly and well up to beating the older horses here. BOLD STAR (4) has been flying across the summer and have to think that she runs well again. Will be flying at the strong tempo late. So will ALL TOO ROYAL (3). Will be strong at the end. AGE OF CHIVALRY (5) will likely need this first up run but he is a good horse with upside. Interesting to see how he goes. SARTORIAL SPLENDOR (8) is fast. Missed a couple of appointments lately but no shock to see him give some cheek around here first up. SELECTIONS: Backing Anaheed.

EAGLE FARM: RACE 4 @ 3:23PM (AEDST)

Stuttering, Bambalam and Zigallene all go forward to contest the lead. They ensure a genuine tempo. Stuttering (1) is a lightly raced gelding on the up. Has placed at both attempts at the mile including a close third at Sunshine Coast last start. That followed a fighting win at the same course. Has been rating well and looks a strong winning chance. VANNA GIRL (4) is doing plenty right winning two of her four starts so far. Finished hard and was too strong at her first attempt at this distance last start. Has scope for further progression. PLAYTHEFIELD (11) is finding it hard to win but deserves one after placing at all five starts. He must be included. BADOOSH (2) was just behind Vanna Girl last start so deserves respect from the low draw. VIOLET (6) is an each way prospect. SELECTIONS: Stuttering has upside. Backing to win.

MORPHETTVILLE PARKS: RACE 6 @ 3:41pm (AEDST)

The top weights show the speed here. Eagle Ridge (1) has found a winnable race away from Melbourne. His form there was more than acceptable. Can control this all the way. AMBIDAZZLE (5) didn't miss by much at Murray Bridge. This looks her trip. PUTTING ON AIRS (6) returned in good fashion and does go best at the start of campaigns. FULTON STREET (2) likes this journey the best. COTILLION (4) has been running well and even when beaten not that far behind. SELECTIONS: Like Eagle Ridge to win.

PINJARRA: RACE 8 @ 7:10PM (AEDST)

Some speed from Mia Dolce, Chatter Session, Tycoon Storm, That's Funny Az and Beffunjar might have to press forward too. Cryptic Wonder (3) is the most interesting runner resuming from a win and a close second back in July at only two starts. Impressed in two trial wins and Pike rides. Commands respect. MONEY MATTERS (2) is flying at the moment and is a last start Listed winner so has plenty of quality. Will go forward and can take running down. CHATTER SESSION (8) won well over this course before a two month break then a solid effort at Ascot last week. Fitter and is one of the chances. TYCOON STORM (7) is hard to fault and MIA DOLCE (5) can show up. SELECTIONS: Cryptic Wonder to win.
