Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on September 16
Five TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Wednesday at Warwick Farm, Bendigo, Eagle Farm, Belmont & Balaklava.
Eagle Farm: Race 7 @ 4:40pm
SAYL (6) has put together back to back placings after scoring three back at Doomben, the latest when a 1.5 lengths third at this track. Racing well and gets the favours from the inside stall. Strong winning chance. COCO FASHION (8) was victorious last time over 1530m at Ipswich and re-unites with same rider here. One of the contenders again. ENTERPRISE MOSS (9) was a beaten favourite last start but has claims off a win at this course two back. LADY RINGO (10) is drawn to play a role. SELECTIONS: #6 Sayl is racing well. Backing to win.

Bendigo: Race 5 @ 3:20pm
Early Morning Rise may elect to lead after the scratchings. EARLY MORNING RISE (6) races handy and has just missed both runs back. Winning rider Oliver replaces Williams and fitter the mare clearly rates the one to beat. CAMBOURNE (5) won easily on debut at Donald as expected for the sharp yard. This is a step-up but the colt is promising and will get every chance to keep building. MONTIA (9) was just beaten in Stakes grade before the spell and needed the run resuming at The Valley. She can improve sharply and will get a soft passage from the low gate. TADASHI HAMADA (8) won the Geelong Maiden as an even-money shot and impressed. He's fitter and has a good future. SELECTIONS: #6 Early Morning Rise sets a decent standard and the spruik on #5 Cambourne gives us a price.
Balaklava: Race 7 @ 3:35pm
Expecting a solid tempo in the Cup with Savatoxl and Peloton likely pacemakers. It's wide open. WINNING PARTNER (8) has been switched back from Victoria by the McEvoy yard and has been a bit plain the last two following the nose defeat at Moonee Valley. This suits much better and Vorster's booking suggests he may be the stable elect. Getting back to a good track is to his advantage and he gets plenty of weight relief. Stablemate EAST INDIAMAN (9) gets a wide gate but peaks off The Parks near miss and has very strong Victorian form in the CV. His best is certainly good enough. PELOTON (11) deserved the 78 win here third-up and is yet to reach his NZ best. He will push forward and has to be kept well-onside. ANALYTICA (12) has been knocking on the door and is going well enough to make the finish. SELECTION: This is an excellent betting program. SELECTIONS: Taking the punt on #8 Winning Partner in the Cup at the juicy each way price.
Warwick Farm: Race 5 @ 3:45pm
Miss Fox expected to work to the lead at a strong tempo. PLAQUETTE (5) was a first up winner on the Kensington over 1100m. Showed a lot of promise last prep and has some strong form lines through the likes of Spaceboy, Best Stone and subsequent Group 1 winner Shout The Bar. HULK (6) ran second at Canterbury last start off a freshen up. Talented but something of a bridesmaid. AVADANE (3) is of genuine interest in her Australian debut with some solid New Zealand form behind her. The unbeaten MISS FOX (4) faces her stiffest test to date however off her first up win at Wyong, certainly deserves her chance. SELECTIONS: Going straight out Plaquette.
Belmont: Race 8 @ 7:30pm
Average tempo with Treat Yo Self leading the way. TREAT YO SELF (13) is a front- runner who's placed twice since the win here and keeps getting better. She will push over and control the race and is clearly the one to beat for the form Durrant yard. BOLLINGER BOY (2) is a stablemate who was a bit unlucky beaten 1.6L here second-up at the mile. The longer trip suits him and he's a serious player. BLACK WING (11) improved sharply winning the Maiden here third-up rising to this distance range. She won't have to improve much to make the finish. FRIAR'S FANTASIA (3) had no luck the latest but the improved the one before and she's worth a look first time at the middle distance. SELECTIONS: Durrant has a strong hand but #13 Treat Yo Self makes most appeal.
