Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on January 13
Seven TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Wednesday at Warwick Farm, Yarra Valley, Caulfield, Rockhampton, Bunbury, Strathalbyn & Canberra.
WARWICK FARM: RACE 7
FRONT MONEY (10) has been solid in each of her two runs back from a spell. Won her lone prior third up outing to date. VRENELI (11) drops in grade on his latest Kensington outing. Has some upside about him. MISS SURE SHOT (9) comes here chasing a hat-trick of wins after provincial successes at Wyong and Kembla Grange. Working through her grades and deserves her chance at metropolitan level. SELECTIONS: Keen on Front Money.

ROCKHAMPTON: RACE 2
NAVARRE (2) is a former VIC galloper suited out to the mile. There was a lot to like about the second-up placing here when he came home well to miss 1L. He has more to give and should be winning and rates to win. ESPEREUS (8) ran a good figure here two back and then got too far back after. A hope on the bounce and first try at the trip. The others haven't been showing much. RAW INSTINCT (10) placed distantly at Kilcoy first up at 1500m and will be better for it. He draws to get a soft run and can make the finish again. PRINCESS AMITY (6) tries hard and is a place hope. SELECTIONS: Keen on Navarre.
CAULFIELD: RACE 4
With quite a few able to go forward, it could be one not far of them with the last drop. ELDERFLOWER (3) also goes well over the distance and has placed here. Looks well suited. BLACK OPAL (6) holds value appeal off a sound effort at Moonee Valley. LASS VEGAS (11) is at the right stage of the prep to run a good race despite rising sharply in grade. SELECTIONS: Elderflower for the win.
CANBERRA: RACE 7
A tricky race to end the program. RIVER MAC (3) has been good here both race-runs after getting back. He has a future and looks suited third-up with the 2kg claim. The extra 200m will favour and he should go close. HAYYU (11) will also be better for racing and has just been beaten the last two. Gets in light with the small claim and is a player again. WITNESS TO LOVE (14) debuts for Keith Dryden with McDougall booked and is likely to be better than the trial finish suggests. Draws out but watch the late market closely. MORE SHOTS (9) is a former QLD galloper resuming for the Potter yard. He has the ability and has trialled well. The market will tell with her as well. SUREKAT (13) is on debut for Matt Dale is also a watch drawn low. SELECTIONS: River Mac has race fitness and upside and appeals each way.
YARRA VALLEY: RACE 7
HEAVENLY BRIDGES (2) has a real liking for Yarra Valley - as demonstrated last start - and in this race it really rates well to continue on. The rest of the field isn't overly strong so it should be able to go on with it now. HERVOR (3) will appreciate a firmer track and with form around Heavenly Bridges, is well in it. THE SISTERS (6) has had a let-up prior to this event and has had excuses of late. Not out of it and should be amongst the money. DONNA NATALINA (8) notched a win at Mornington last start at a good price. Has to be included in trifectas. EX LADY (10) does need to improve on the latest effort (even though she raced wide in the run) but want to see a bit more before tipping with confidence. On for exotics. SELECTIONS: Heavenly Bridges the win.
STRATHALBYN: RACE 8
MARNDARRA (6) is lightly-raced and talented on her day. She didn't have a lot of luck when caught wide at Murray Bridge behind Rising Thunder last time, but her last 100m was solid and the extra trip looks ideal. She's the one to beat. I'M BULLETPROOF (5) has a great record here on his home track and at the distance. He finished off strongly at Murray Bridge behind It's Magic last time. GO BOO BOO (4) has been racing well and came off the speed to run down Lolielucas at Murray Bridge last time. She's poorly drawn but must be respected. MASTER OF ZERPRISE (10) is a winner over 200m and more than capable in a race like this. He was OK last time behind Stan The Caddy and this is a drop in class. THE RED SEA (2) draws out wide but has handy form for a race like this and was a Balaklava winner over 2200m back in November and can make his own luck early. COMFORT MAN (7) didn't do a lot last time out but could be an improver. SELECTIONS: Marndarra to win
BUNBURY: RACE 7
TINTO BELLE (6) settled well back then came home powerfully to score by half a length over 1000m at Ascot. Has a very good record here including two wins from four starts and best figures should see her run well again. Clearly the one to beat. MY BLUEBOY (4) finished in the money last time over 1000m at Ascot after racing on the speed. Should be poised just off the lead despite the draw and possesses a good record at this journey with two wins and five placings from nine starts. Major threat. SHINJU (1) hasn't made an impression in his last few starts since resuming despite the market confidence. Last start ran seventh at Ascot. Rates well here on best form and look for a better run this time out. DOUBLE JEOPARDY (2) the best of the rest. SELECTIONS: Very keen on Tinto Belle.
