SPINNING SPIRIT (1) resumed further improved missing a nose this track in better class. Gets a soft run from the rail and the 3kg claim takes care of the weight lift. Fitter she should be taking this out. TOURMASTER (3) resumed in good order on the heavy and then things didn't work out the latest. Gets Rodd first time and will be very competitive third-up finding his best. ZOOFARI (6) resumes for the leading (and form) yard and is sharp fresh. Will have come on and has shown enough to say she's a chance. GENERAL WITT (4) was only beaten 2L here three-back and just missed at Gatton the latest. In the mix at a price with Byrne on. SELECTION: Keen on #1 Spinning Spirit.

ARARAT: RACE 1 @ 2:00 PM

DWELT (7) went really well but just faded when it mattered last start at Moe. Has hopefully put it together better now and is in it as a winning chance. EXCUSES EXCUSES (3) might need the run but was going consistently enough before the break to warrant consideration in this. CHAT UP (1) had to cover extra ground in the run at Bordertown. Still might be putting it together so rates as a trifecta chance. CATCH THE DRIFT (6) has been going ok as well. Might've spent some gas before the jump last start so expect more today. CHEEKY LUCKY (2) has the blinkers going off. Not a winning hope but a wider first four chance. SELECTION: #7 Dwelt the win..

ALBANY: RACE 5 @ 6:40 PM (AEDT)

BIG BADA BOOM (3) is in form and can go in with it here. Especially if it doesn't lay in towards the line like it did last start. FROSTY BAY (8) has been consistent enough but might find one stronger here. Quinella chance at least and can't be left out. FROSTY BEVERAGE (9) kept on well enough last start and is at the right stage of the prep to go well. In good form and is a place chance at least. WAR CLASS (4) is also at the right stage of the prep to go well. Had excuses also at Mount Barker last start and can improve. TIME TO HUNT (1) rates as a wider exotics chance but the claim should make a difference. SELECTIONS: Quinella Big Bad Boom, Frosty Bay and Frosty Beverage.

PAKENHAM: RACE 3 @ 7:00 PM

FIGHTER (2) has finished in the runner-up position at his only four starts. Stepped up to this trip last time and ran on soundly. Bigger track here should assist. Rate highly. GENTLEMAN ROY (3) was heavily supported at Geelong last time but may not have been suited on the soft ground. Looks as though the extra ground will assist. Rates strongly and expected to run well. BRING IT BELLA (10) worked home soundly when coming off a break last time. Fitter and extra ground should assist. Consider. MY SQUEEZE LOUISE (11) has performed solidly in two runs this campaign and is sure to appreciate getting on the bigger track here. Has each-way claims. SELECTION: Back #2 Fighter to win.
