Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for April 27.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Goulburn, Townsville, Narromine and Sale.
NARROMINE: RACE 2 @ 1:15 PM
CLIFTON SPRINGS (7) looked very good last time out when a close second at Grafton over this journey. Strips fitter third-up from the spell and has drawn well for Morgan in gate four. Looks the one they have to run down. CHAREADY (6) made up plenty of ground on debut and is drawn to get a soft run from the inside barrier. Has to be included. GATTLING GUN (2) hasn't done much wrong placing at both starts to date. In the mix. Former Victorian MIDTOWN MAGIC (9) showed enough in his first campaign to suggest he can be in the frame here. TINTERN POWER (11) was a handy third last start and can take natural improvement.
SELECTIONS: Clifton Springs to win.

SALE: RACE 6 @ 3:30 PM
ROUSSEAU (15) just needs to settle better in the run and its keenness might have cost it at Mornington. Can be in the finish again. LA SPEZIA (10) was one of the better chances of the day at Benalla when winning over 2046m. Stepping up in distance shouldn't be a problem and has to be included again. ARCTIC WOLF (3) had excuses when racing wide at Cranbourne This looks a suitable race and can't be left out. PHARRELL (1) has a good record over this distance and can't be left out of exotics. If you're looking for another one, EL DIEZ (5) wont mind the soft going. SELECTIONS: La Spezia each-way if the odds allow.
TOWNSVILLE: RACE 4 @ 2:57 PM
SILENT EXPLORER (5) just missed out last time at this track and gets some weight relief today. Building to a win and gets chance to break through. LAST CHANCE (2) looks hard to beat after scoring last start by half a length at Rockhampton over 1200m. In great form and worth following up. OUR ALICIA'S LANE (4) finished midfield last start at Home Hill on a soft track when fresh. Usually takes a run and has a great record here and at the tip. Big improver. REVENIRE (6) finished fourth last start, beaten 2.25 lengths at this track over 1000m. Much fitter for the run and can feature. CLEO'S POET (8) has claims.
SELECTIONS: Silent Explorer looks close to a win.
