Today’s Horse Racing Tips – 11th September 2021

3 minute read

Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on September 11.

Major Australian Throughbred Tab meetings are today held at Flemington, Kembla Grange, Doomben, Morphettville and Belmount.

KEMBLA GRANGE: RACE 2 @ 12:15 PM

MANKAYAN (1) was hard to miss last start when making up a stack of ground late. Better suited out to 2400m and expect him to be on-speed from the inside draw. Bowman sticks and he looks very hard to beat. OFF SHAW (2) continues to race well having only been beaten narrowly at this track last start. Rates well off that, rolls forward and should be in this for a long way. ACCOUNTABILITY (7) bounce back to form last start and with McDonald staying aboard he has to be included.
SELECTIONS: Very keen on Mankayan.

FLEMINGTON: RACE 3 @ 1:40 PM

FINANCE TYCOON (3) won The Showdown for big money and did it in big time before a break. Had been very solid prior to that and really looked to put it together there. Now joins the new yard and has jumped out well. Think he is a key runner and capable of ruffling the feathers of INGRATIATING (2) who won most impressively first up in the Vain. Settled back there before rounding them up with the days best last 600m. He's won twice down the straight but Finance Tycoon did knock him off here last spring. JIGSAW (4) is very honest at this level and gives them something to beat. RANCH HAND (5) will be better for the run but has form that makes him dangerous.
SELECTIONS: Backing Finance Tycoon to beat Ingratiating down here again.

BELMONT PARK: RACE 6 @ 3:55 PM

GIANT LEAP (1) has been beaten twice since a first-up win but the form around him is pretty strong and that stands him in good stead. Clearly the horse to beat. GENERAL GRANT (4) is coming through the grades well this time in and chases a hat-trick here. Must be respected. KARIJINI AURORA (3) is racing well and with Pike on board and the right run she's a major player again. AL MAHALO (5) and GLAMOUR PACKED (6) are worth including.
SELECTIONS: Giant Leap to win. Trifecta 1-3,4,5,6/3,4,5,6.

CARNARVON: RACE 7 @ 4:55 PM

PREVAILING WINDS (3) came home strongly last time to get up for second over 1200m at this track. Rates highly on latest effort. Sure to feature again, hard to beat. SUNDAY AT SIX (8) has put together back-to-back placings after scoring three back at Port Hedland, the latest when 2.5 lengths away in third over 1200m at this track. In fine form and is a winning chance. THE DIVINE WIND (5) good effort on dirt two runs back when third over 1400m at this track then improved to win second-up on the turf at Junction last time. N Hopwood stays on. Has winning claims on best figures. FERNGROVE (1) started at $4.50 last time on the back of a win at Broome but was below best when tenth over 1600m at this track. Boasts a good record at this journey and worth another chance.
SELECTIONS: Very keen on Prevailing Winds.

DOOMBEN: RACE 6 @ 2:48 PM

BALLISTIC BOY (2) impressed at his first run back after eight months on the sidelines when running on for a last-stride win here over 1350m. Should only be improved and with 50 per cent strike rates at both the distance and when second up he looks hard to hold out. WAPITI (8) has been good in two runs since a spell, running on last time to get within 1.1L of Ballistic Boy. Looking for the mile now and is ready to peak third up. RELOADED (1) made ground first up when fifth behind the top two selections. Can improve up in trip. WILLO TITTO (5) has been racing consistently and is drawn to advantage.
SELECTIONS: Ballistic Boy impressed fresh and can back that up.

ECHUCA: RACE 3 @ 1:21 PM

MISS ARIZONA (10) led them up and was far from disgraced on a very wet track at Moe at only run. Has trialled since and looks well placed here. Should go close. SIMPLY INSPIRING (6) filled the runner-up role on four consecutive occasions before a break. Resumed with an even effort at Ballarat Synthetic. Fitter here and has claims. SWEET HOME ALABAMA (13) hasn't done a lot this campaign on the Ballarat Synthetic. Fitter and gets onto the turf here. Looks a likely improver.
SELECTIONS: Back Miss Arizona to win.

MORPHETTVILLE: RACE 3 @ 1:22 PM

EAGLE HAWK STAR (3) came from well back to score in his maiden. He's had another break since then. MISS DANIEL (7) will be a big watch chasing a metro win. There wasn't best fortune her most recent outing. KNIGHTSTOWN (1) held on to score first up. His losses did only come in group races. GARRIRE (4) has had two trials and can be running home late. SELECTIONS: Eagle Hawk Star for the win.
