Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on September 16.

Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Kembla Grange, Narromine, Sale, Townsville and Northam.

KEMBLA GRANGE: RACE 2 @ 1:25 PM

DELEXO (4) returned in fine fashion with a dominant four length romp at Muswellbrook over this journey. Strips fitter second-up and the stable has been in a rich vein of form at late. Gets the services of McDonald and looks the hardest to toss. PICK THE SCORE (5) has a handy record over this track and trip with a win and a second from two outings. Comes in well at the weights with the 3kg claim and looks a serious player. The well-related KATTEGAT (2) is in career-best form stringing together two wins on the bounce. Drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley and must be included. ESTEEMED LADY (9) is trained on course and can earn some minor money.

NARROMINE: RACE 4 @ 3:05 PM

ROYAL CONFESSION (3) has just missed at Tamworth both runs back for a sharp barn and the former Victorian has more to give. The front bar plates come off and he draws well with a handy 2kg claim. Fitter and is clearly the one to beat. RIDERS INTHE STAND (7) has missed a lip his last two after settling back. Peaks with a form hoop engaged and the longer sprint suits. HIGH HANDED (5) got close at Wellington as favourite at his first run since switching from Queensland. He has more up the sleeve but needs a good ride from the sticky barrier. EUREKA (2) can prove next best.

SALE: RACE 7 @ 4:30 PM

LA MARSA (7) resumed in good order and then made a big impression winning the Maiden as expected at the mile. Got too far back after and prepared to forgive that. Well-bred and can bounce back reaching peak fitness. ADONIS KICK (3) has to come back a bit in trip off a luckless run in better class in Adelaide. Impressed winning at Moe prior at this level and is a player with winning rider Childs reunited. FIRSTCLASS DREAMER (2) has been close-up the last two in better city races. Draws much better today and is good enough. SWINDON LASS (9) continues to race well and has been freshened since the 0.6L defeat on The Lakeside this level. Has to come back 683 metres but can't be ruled out.

TOWNSVILLE: RACE 3 @ 2:12 PM

CURVETTA (7) switched from the Sunshine Coast and proved much to good first up in the 55. She further improved and is nicely placed again with the 2kg claim. Fitter and clearly rates to go on with it. LAST CHANCE DANCE (6) resumes for the new barn and brings strong NSW form. Uses the rail and Wiggins' booking suggests she's pleasing. A bold return is likely. MISHANI REBEL (5) has placed the last two and gets a handy 3kg claim. Lifted his figures the latest and will race well again. KISS ME LATER (3) draws well and won't be far away.
