An eye-catching return from a let up will have Morethannumberone primed for a win on a competitive day’s racing at Gold Coast on Saturday.

It's a card of big fields and multiple chances but Morethannumberone does looks well placed after settling back but closing well for a close third at Doomben a fortnight ago.

That was his first outing for close to two months so will be better for it and he had won his previous two outings here to be unbeaten at the venue.

Andrew Mallyon has built a good association with the five-year-old with three wins and two placings from five attempts and this should pan out well from a favourable draw.

Pull Anchor has yet to win this campaign but is ticking over well and offers each way value as she reaches peak fitness fourth up.

She placed at Eagle Farm in her first two runs after a spell then was beaten only 2.6L at Doomben last time.

She is consistent having rarely missed a place at this trip and with many of the fancies in this race resuming the fitness edge could prove a big advantage on expected wet going.
