Once again we locked away top odds but were on the wrong side of the ledger last weekend with both Mankayan and Brookspire beaten.

The 'Overs God' has been up to his old tricks but hoping we can turn the tides at Randwick on Saturday.

The Bjorn Baker trained She's Ideel was very good fresh in the Winx Stakes before just a touch flat in the Chelmsford Stakes last start.

Still not disgraced, She's Ideel finished midfield and is sure to appreciate the step up to 2000m.

On Saturday seven of her 18 rivals come through the same race with She's Ideel one of the 'weight' horses dropping 4kg.

So much so that she almost rates top off her last start while her performance in the Winx Stakes has her easily well ahead.

Two of her five career wins have come third up and she has placed in six of eight attempts at Randwick.

Jason Collett sticks aboard and will be out to continue his great record aboard the mare placing in seven of his nine attempts.

The inside draw in a big field is a touch of a concern but with clear air in the straight she is the one to beat.

In the final event happy to be with the Annabel Neasham trained Equation.

A competitive Bm88 on paper however Equation gives the impression he can go on to bigger and better this time in.

Unbeaten in three starts last preparation he continued to raise the bar and went to the paddock off a new career peak.

Hasn't trialled publicly but I think that indicates the stable is confident where they have him for his first up run.

The booking of James McDonald also cements this idea as you don't engage the hired gun if you don't plan to shoot.

McDonald's record when combined with Neasham also speaks for itself.

If you were quick you could have locked away $6 about the four-year-old and while that price is long gone, close to 3-1 is still a worthy gamble I think he'll continue to shorten.
