Caulfield hosts Saturday racing for the third straight Saturday and we are back to a true rail for the Easter Cup meeting.

 

 

Our best of the day comes up in race three, a competitive mile handicap where the Adelaide visitor Handsome Return appeals as a strong winning hope. 

 

Handsome Return went to Adelaide via New Zealand, where his record was fairly modest it must be said, but he has won three of five having joined Will Clarken and the most recent of those three wins was far and away the best of them. 

 

 

He rates strongly on that form coming into Saturday's race and he promises to improve again being third up from a break. Prices around 4-1 look fair game. 

 

 

For an each way play we roll onto race six, an extremely competitive sprint for three-year-old fillies where one down the page looks a terrific chance at double figure odds. 

 

 

That one is Fidelia who ran a really good race at the course and distance first up and looks every chance of improving on that second time out. 

 

 

What appeals most is her second up run last prep where she reeled off good figures behind a sharp winner and she backed that up with another strong effort behind Sunlight at this course and distance. 

 

 

That form gives her a much better look at winning here then the early prices imply.
