Consistent gelding Galtero gets his chance for a well-deserved win at Doomben on Saturday.

Tony Gollan's five-year-old has his hoof right on the till after placing at three of his past four starts, the latest when he led and fought on well to go down by less than a length.

Galtero will go forward again and there doesn't look to be many challengers.

That should see him dictate the race and some of his best efforts have come at Doomben so this looks his chance to break through.

Another deserving of a win is his stablemate Tokoriki Lad and this could be his day at each way odds.

He made it three seconds from his past five when going down by a nose at Sunshine Coast.

He was unlucky not to win there as he raced wide throughout, hit the front and was grabbed on the line.

He is drawn to get a much easier run and could atone.
