Sydneysider Fun Fact looks set for another successful Brisbane raid when he lines up in the Queensland Cup at Doomben on Saturday.

The Bjorn Baker-trained gelding has ventured north a couple of times before and his best win came in the sunshine state when he took out the Group 3 Grand Prix as a three-year-old.

That was his only attempt at Saturday's distance of 2200m and Fun Fact arrives on the cusp of a win having placed at two of his past three starts in Sydney, the latest a 1.7L third at Rosehill after leading.

He will go forward from the low draw and while there looks to be a decent tempo, ratings suggest Fun Fact will be hard to get past.

Red Chase was an eye-catcher when he resumed with a fast-finishing second in the Weetwood a couple of weeks ago and gets his chance to turn the tables on his conqueror when he lines up later in the program.

Red Chase will be fitter for that effort and it showed he has returned in similar form to last campaign when he won four in a row before spelling.

He has won two of four previous second up attempts and gets the favours from the inside draw.
