We’ll head to the end of the card for our plays in Adelaide.
In Race 8 we see quite a few going around who have not won many races in a while but one last start winner looks easy to find with Li'l Kontra.
This mare resumed over the short course on the Parks track, sat back in the field and rattled home.
Consider that she ran in some much, MUCH harder races during the last Adelaide carnival. The Goodwood effort saw her come second last and yet she was only six lengths back of all the Everest form runners.
She will get back from the inside draw but all she needs is a clear run from around the corner and her finish will take holding out.
With some early backing for others, expecting we'll do better than the current odds.
The following race is highly competitive and we're happy to go for value with another last start winner Hankstar.
He has enjoyed getting up in ground as we saw a month ago as he had a lovely run behind the speed and grabbed them late over 1400m.
He's not got another furlong to travel but from a similar barrier won't have to do any work.
The 4yo could well be in front of a few of the other main chances in running and with the claim comes into this nicely.
