It doesn’t take long to sharply move away from carnival racing and back into the Winter grind.

That is the style of racing that confronts us now but there are big fields at Murray Bridge as the horses away from group racing get their chance to shine.

The last race has a full field and that could well suit our best as Highly Discreet drops way back from black type racing both here and in Victoria.

She has been right around the mark in those races but couldn't crack them however the class is way different on Saturday.

Four lengths off Cherry Tortoni is going to win a BM68 on most occasions and given she usually settles off the speed, a race in this size field should generate pace.

You'd love to see her blend into it on the corner then let fly and the current market has her at nice odds.

Another bet later in the day is in Race 8 where Peloton resumes for the premiership leading duo of Michael Hickmott and Jessica Eaton.

This horse might be more a miling type but he might be able to work forward here and run the race to suit.

There is not much winning form of late amongst the rivals and he is well placed to do something against that backdrop with this weight.
