We were finally looking to get back onto a good surface in Perth but there could well be more rain on the way.
The main race is the Blue Spec Stakes with an even lot of older horses engaged but one to note here is Living The Dream if the track is not too bad.
He's had three runs back here over shorter trips but now gets back to the mile where he's run some good races.
In fact his last victory was in February over that journey at Ascot.
Important to note he has a horrible record on affected surfaces so if it were to be a Soft 6 or worse then we'd have less confidence of a good outing.
But now that he's at the right type of distance, he can improve and is a good price but it must be three place dividends.
We have to wait until the last for our best and that is Notorious One in the RTG72+ Handicap over 1400m.
This 6yo has really found his best since a short break with two good wins on wet tracks.
He came from well back in those races and even if forced to do that again here, only has nine rivals to get past.
Many of the others are either resuming or early in campaigns and his fitness will be advantageous no matter what state the track becomes.
He keeps attacking the line which is great for an older horse.
