Qaidoom To Remain Unbeaten

3 minute read

The Mark Walker trained Qaidoom won very well on debut at Kranji and appears well placed to go back to back on Saturday.

Due to contest the second event, Qaidoom steps up to Class 5 company and gives weight away but still looks well treated.

It has been a growing trend in recent months that trainers have been choosing to go to Class 5 event with their maiden winners as opposed to jumping straight to a Class 4.

This has been quite fruitful and expect Qaidoom to continue that trend on the weekend.

The wide draw is the obvious knock however she possesses good gate speed and should be able to work her way across.

When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings she rates clear off her maiden win and remains open to further improvement.

At just her second start she lines up against a few horses who are already treading water whereas she can progress to better company.

Will need a touch of luck early but if able to find the front she should prove hard to get past.

The Tim Fitzsimmons trained Mister Dynamo caught the eye late last start and should be right at his peak racing third up.

Vlad Duric (originally booked) is unable to ride this weekend, which is a loss however from the good draw he can settle closer and looms as a major threat.

Although only 1/16 he has form in the book good enough to see him saluting.

The Ricardo Le Grange trained Pindus was only collared late at this course and distance last start and must be respected off the soft draw.

In 11 attempts at this distance he has placed in eight and while up in the weights he is more than capable on best form.

Marc Lerner sticks aboard and if able to hold his form he should be in this for a long way.

Of the rest the Tim Fitzsimmons trained Fireworks appears the next in line.

Good luck and happy punting.
