On the Parks track again for a decent nine race card.
We've selected one which is a bit doubtful as he's also entered at Cranbourne on Cup day but should he run here then Nobel Heights is a great play.
He went to Geelong over the 2400m and kept running to win. That was third up since his SA Derby placing and he's only getting fitter and better.
Even though back 150m for this, he's had that good grounding and being from this stable, he will be having no issues on the distance grounds.
He's also the only horse with any sort of recent winning form and some of these stayers forget how to do it.
PS Should he run in Victoria then he is a very nice chance there too but I won't step on the toes of our Melbourne man.*
To the last where Cuban State has to overcome a wide draw but he's shown in three outings that he has the right ability.
On debut he began at Pakenham over this very trip and kept running to score pretty comprehensively.
He might have had enough at the end of the prep so was tipped out. The McEvoys have obviously decided this is easier at this time of year.
The son of Teofilo has one of his main dangers drawn with him so they could work forward together and dominate the race from in front.
Hoping to do better on the day.
