The three-year-old gelding Karacasu showed plenty of promise in winning the opening race of 1100 metres at Morphettville on Saturday.

Guided to his first victory from two starts by Dom Tourneur and coming out of the Richard and Chantelle Jolly stable Karacasu  came from last on the home turn and maybe a contender for the Breeder's Stakes next month.

Jockey Ryan Hurdle continued his good run when the three-year-old Spin the Reward took out the 1050 metre second race.

Prepared at Mount Gambier by Peter Hardacre Spin The Reward came from a better than midfield position with a strong run late in the event.

Trainer Lee Creek brought up a running double for Mount Gambier when his charge Royal Mile took out the 1600 metre third race.

Having the services of apprentice Jacob Opperman Royal Mile was the first into stride and kept a forward position throughout he event.

Victorian apprentice Alex Bryan landed her first SA win when Huffington took out the 1050 metre fourth race.

Coming out of the Pakenham stable of Phillip Stokes Huffington was well placed in bringing up her fourth win from eight starts.

Apprentice Jacob Opperman landed his second winner for the afternoon when Farooq took out the 2019 metre fifth race.

Bringing up his second win in succession the Sue Murphy trained Farooq was well placed.

Ryan Hurdle brought up his second winner for the day when Galcrum took out the 1200 metre sixth race.

Trained at Gawler by Darryl Reynolds Galcrum came from well back with a strong run over the concluding stages.

Jockey Anna Jordsjo brought up her first black type win when Mileva won the listed Manihi Classic which was run over 1100 metres.

Co-trained at Murray Bridge by Darren Clarken and Oopy McGillivray, Mileva was well placed and finished strongly.

Ecumenical  continued on her winning way when she took out the listed Clare Lindop Stakes which was run over 1600 metres.

Being under the care of Murray Bridge based trainer Mick Huxtable Ecumenical got to the front early in the event and will now have her next run in the Auraria Stakes at Group 3 level before tackling the Group 1 Schweppes Oaks which will be run over 2000 metres.

Apprentice Jacob Opperman finished off a big day for himself when Oh Mo gave him his third winner for the meeting in the 1600 metre final event.

Being under the care of young Murray Bridge trainer Sam Burford Oh Mo came from a worse than midfield position with a big run over the concluding stages.
