True Attraction wins Aquanita Stakes Listed $100,000 at Belmont Park, 2000m.
Although the split took place later than desired, True Attraction powered clear and was in complete command at the line, taking his record to four wins (maiden stakes) in ten starts.
Rider William Pike settled him fourth (rails) with a circuit to run and held there past the 1200m and 800m.
He kept to the fence rounding into the home straight yet the split did not occur until the 250m where Pike drove him through and he shot clear by three at the 100m.
To the line, he was eased but still a length and three quarters clear. Rivalry Galore sat last at the 800m, pulled three lanes wide turning in and wider again at the 200m then finished steadily without looking to catch the winner.
Pagan Image was third at the 600m, went up to challenge for the lead turning in, second at the 200m then battled to the line for third from Play Hard who led them in, was caught at the 200m then held on for fourth.
