Dawn Passage wins C’bury Hurlstone Park Rosebud Listed, $140,000 at Rosehill, 1100m.

Dawn Passage took his record to two wins and a third from three starts when scoring a very good first-up win in Listed class here.

He was ridden quietly from a wide barrier and settled back in second last place in the nine-horse field before fanning deep upon straightening.

He then sprinted well, coming with a strong late bid to grab victory nearing the post. Let It Pour  raced in fifth place, one off the rails, tracking a good tempo before improving from the 300m.

She then continued to run on well for (neck) second in a promising effort, resuming here at her second race start.

The favourite Lucicello again settled at the tail of the field. She went deep at the home turn and kept making good ground (wide out) for third.

Superium raced in sixth place on the rails, took a split and went to third at the 200m and then fought well for a close-up fourth in a good first-up run.

Athiri settled in seventh place, one off the rails, switched out at the 300m and kept making ground for (1.1 lengths) fifth, just in advance of the free-running leader Cardiff who tired late for (1.3 lengths) sixth having run a bold race.
