Fitter from a slightly unlucky fresh up run for fourth in the Silver Eagle two weeks ago, Madam Rouge fought back hard when challenged and edged into the lead just short of the line for win three (maiden stakes) at start 14. She settled third (rails) and had a lovely run all the way to the top of the straight. She got a perfect split at the 400m and went up to challenge soon after, led narrowly past the 200m but was challenged herself. To the line she refused to give in, keeping her head in front to score a game win. Reelem In Ruby sat fourth, just back of the winner from the 600m, moved out to challenge at the top of the straight, took a long while to almost level up then kept on doggedly but could not get past the winner. Ready To Prophet led them in, was caught at the 300m but never gave in to the post for a gritty third. Moss Trip was fifth turning in and battled away quite well for fourth.
