King’s Legacy wins Magic Millions B.J. McLachlan, Group 3, $250,000 at Eagle Farm, 1200m.

The Peter and Paul Snowden-trained colt King's Legacy came into calculations for the Magic Millions 2YO Classic (RL, 1200m) at the Gold Coast with a smart effort in winning here when having his second race start.

He settled well in third place on the rails before going through on the inner to second on turning for home. He then set out after the leader (Every Rose) at the 300m and kept running on resolutely to grab victory nearing the post.

Every Rose was urged in the early stages to take the lead. She then set a good tempo, held a clear advantage on straightening and was only overtaken in the closing stages to take second after running a bold race.

Euphoric Summer raced in fifth place, got along the rails to be third at the 300m and then kept fighting on really well to hold that position at the post.

Blondeau, settled back in second last place in the nine-runner field, commenced a wide move rounding the home turn and steadily made ground for (4 lengths) fourth, albeit without really looking a winning prospect.
