Morphettville Races Review - 14th November 2020

3 minute read

Resuming from a spell All Banter continued her good run of co-trainers Richard and Chantelle Jolly when she took out the opening event of 1000 metre on the Parks track at Morphettville on Saturday.

Having the services of Jake Toeroek All Banter  was well placed throughout.

In-form Ritratto  was too strong for his rivals when he gave Mick Huxtable and Jessica Eaton an all-the-way win in the 1550 metre second race.

Todd Pannell brought up his second winner in 24 hours when he rode Andrea Mantegna to a win in the 2250 metre third race.

Being under the care of David Jolly at Goolwa, Andrea Mantegna led all the way to bring up win number nine from fifty starts.

The former Darwin galloper Savatol presented apprentice Teagan Voorham and the training combination of Calvin and Tony McEvoy with an all-the-way win in the 1250 metre fourth race.

Telopea Downs based trainer Darryl Dodson was well pleased with the win of Just Chipping Away in the 1250 metre fifth race.

Guided to victory by Jason Holder, Just Chipping Away  settled in the back half of the field before making a late dive to claim victory.

Todd Pannell landed his second winner for the afternoon when Tully's Gold took out the 1250 metre sixth race.

Being under the care of Morphettville trainer Ryan Balfour, Tully's Gold was one off the pace for most of the journey.

After a successful day at Port Lincoln when she landed a double yesterday Sophie Logan brought up her third win in two days when she guided Masterati to an all the way win in the 1400 metre seventh race for trainer Grant Young.

Apprentice Teagan Voorham brought up her second winner for the day when she guided City Beats  to his fourth win from thirty-eight starts in the 1950 metre eighth race.  Giving trainer Damien Moyle his first win City Beats came from a better than midfield position with a long run over the concluding stages.

Apprentice Maggie Collett landed her first city winner on her first day riding in the city when The Raven took out the final event of 1000 metres.

Being under the care of Strathalbyn trainer Kirsti Evans, The Raven settled fourth before unleashing a strong run over the concluding stages.
