AFLW Giants on the move to Adelaide

3 minute read

The Giants' AFLW team will be able to move to Adelaide after spending more than 14 days in regional NSW.

The Giants' AFLW team is on the move again - this time to Adelaide.

The Giants moved to Albury last month after the COVID-19 outbreak in NSW's northern beaches.

Having spent more than 14 days in regional NSW, the Giants satisfied the current border guidelines in place and were able to relocate to South Australia.

The AFL also released the schedule for AFLW practice matches which will take place this weekend.

The Giants will take on Adelaide at Norwood Oval on Sunday.

The season proper is set to commence on Thursday, January 28 with a match between Carlton and Collingwood at Ikon Park.

The earlier-than-usual start time and the single ladder for the 2021 season are part of the measures put in place to provide maximum flexibility and the best possible chance of completing the season should it be interrupted due to the global pandemic.
