Nathan Brown is concerned by the Warriors' midseason form slump after a promising start to their 2022 NRL campaign.

Warriors coach Nathan Brown says he's disappointed by the regression in his side's form over the last month after their first-half capitulation against South Sydney at the NRL's Magic Round.

The Warriors rallied late in the game but the 32-30 scoreline undoubtedly flattered Brown's men after the Rabbitohs eased off in the final quarter of the game.

The Warriors have been based in Australia for a third straight year and began the season with four wins from their opening six games.

But after that bright start they have just one win from their last four.

During that time they suffered a club-record defeat to Melbourne and failed to beat a Cronulla side that were at one point down to 11 men.

"Purely in the past month I don't really like what I've seen as a footy club if I'm being honest with you," Brown said.

"I thought the first sort of six or seven weeks we certainly showed we had sort of made some really good progress on last year.

"We have had a few little setbacks lately with injuries and that type of stuff. But that first 20 minutes, the amount that it was that product is not where we want to be."

Brown has been in charge of the Warriors for the last season and a half and will be hoping for a response over the next month. They face St George Illawarra, Newcastle and Manly over the next three weeks and return to New Zealand in July.

Brown, who released Kodi Nikorima to debut for South Sydney this week, hopes that he will have back-rower Euan Aitken back on deck for next week's game against the Dragons.
