Collingwood has re-signed veterans Travis Varcoe and Ben Reid for the next AFL season.

The experienced duo will both play their 14th AFL seasons next year after accepting one-year deals.

Fringe players Tim Broomhead, Rupert Wills and Jack Madgen have also been given one-year deals for next season, the Magpies said on Friday.

Broomhead will remain on the rookie list and Madgen, a former NBL and US college basketballer, will be retained as a category B rookie.

Varcoe, 31, has played 221 AFL games at Collingwood and Geelong while Reid, 30, has played 150 AFL games for the Magpies, where both have won premierships.

"Travis and Ben are stalwarts of the club, they will continue to bring their experience to our mix," Collingwood's list manager Ned Guy said in a statement.
