Ashley Taylor has been moved on by Gold Coast three seasons after he was considered the Titans' saviour, while Tyrone Peachey has also been dumped by the NRL club.

Mitch Rein was also not offered a new deal as the club confirmed their roster movements on Tuesday, having been knocked out in a gutting one-point finals loss to the Sydney Roosters on Saturday.

Taylor was the NRL's rookie of the year in 2016, edging out Nathan Cleary, Suliasi Vunivalu and Latrell Mitchell for the honour.

That form demand a new deal ahead of the 2018 season reportedly worth about $3 million over three years.

The Titans came to the party, ensuring he did not return to Brisbane despite strong interest as incoming coach Garth Brennan declared the 22-year-old would be the man to deliver a title to the Gold Coast.

Brennan's reign was shortlived though and Taylor's form stuttered, the halfback eventually shifted to five-eighth under new coach Justin Holbrook.

He was dropped and then constant injuries compounded Taylor's struggles, his fate seemingly sealed when Holbrook selected Peachey ahead of him to wear the No.6 in the final stages of this season.

Both Peachey and Taylor will need to find new homes though, with fullback AJ Brimson potentially in line to wear the No.6 next season in a move that would open up a permanent position for exciting No.1 Jayden Campbell.

Taylor is still just 26 while the versatile Peachey is 30 and Rein, who notched 200 NRL games this season, is 31.

Think. Is this a bet you really want to place?
