Gold Coast coach Garth Brennan doesn't know if Tyrone Peachey wants to leave the NRL club and doesn't want to know.

Reports have emerged Peachey is keen to quit the Titans less than 12 months into his three-year deal and return to Penrith, citing homesickness.

The 27-year-old, after an indifferent start to life on the Gold Coast, was overlooked by NSW coach Brad Fittler for Wednesday's State of Origin series opener.

Brennan says Peachey hasn't come to him asking for a release and he's leaving any negotiations over the player's future to Titans head of performance and culture Mal Meninga.

The ex-Queensland and Australian player and Queensland Origin coaching legend is overseeing a review of the Titans' football operations and Brennan says it's up to Meninga to decide whether Peachey stays or goes.

"I haven't spoken to Tyrone about any of that," Brennan said.

"I'm leaving that to Mal to deal with, with Tyrone and his management. I don't know myself what's exactly going on or the details behind it.

"I'm focusing on coaching the footy team."

Despite the speculation, Peachey came off the bench to play a role in the Titans' upset 26-18 win on Sunday over Brisbane.

Peachey played 58 minutes and made 24 tackles as Gold Coast picked up just their fourth victory of the season.

"Tyrone played well today. That's all I'm focused on - him as a player," Brennan said.

Think. Is this a bet you really want to place?
