Star Brisbane recruit Brodie Croft has been blown away by the freakish talent of his new NRL teammates and says he's working hard to win their trust.

Croft will don the No.7 jersey in 2020 in a halves partnership with Anthony Milford that will play a key role in the Bronco's renewed title hopes after last year's 58-0 elimination final hiding by Parramatta.

He played 39 games during a four-year stint with the Melbourne Storm and learnt vital lessons off some of the game's best while there.

But the 22-year-old hopes his move north will reap success both at a team and individual level.

"It's an extremely talented playing group, a lot of freaks in it," Croft told AAP.

"If we can all come together and put it all in one, that's the thing that really excites me.

"The likes of David Fifita and Payne Haas - when they're going hard at training it's a sight to see.

"Then you've got your Tevita Pangai Junior and even players like Patty Carrigan who has been training the house down at the moment.

"There's talent right across the park, it's really exciting. I think the sky's our limit. Hopefully we pull it all together because when we play our best I'm sure we can beat anyone on our day."

Croft said it felt weird pulling on the Broncos jersey at first but now he couldn't see himself in any other colours.

His combinations with his new teammates is starting to take shape and he has been working hard to win their respect.

"When I first came into the team, I wanted to make a mark and not make it look like I've come here and just taken someone's spot," Croft said.

"I've been doing my best to put in the hard work at training and impress the players and the coach," he added.

"As long as I'm doing that, I'll be happy."

Croft will be in action for the Broncos on Friday night when the NRL Nines kicks off in Perth.
