Western Sydney Wanderers have signed Scottish midfielder Graham Dorrans to bolster their bid to rise back up the A-League table.

The 33-year-old joins the Wanderers on a two-year deal from Dundee FC after a long career in England and Scotland - including playing for West Bromwich Albion and Norwich City in the Premier League and Championship.

A hard-working midfielder, Dorrans also previously earned 12 caps for Scotland.

"After speaking with the manager (Carl Robinson) and hearing the vision he has for the club and the way he wants to play I think it's a brand of football that really suits my game," Dorrans said.

"It's a league I have watched from a distance and really enjoyed watching it so I'm looking forward to getting over and starting as soon as I can."

Dorrans is Robinson's second signing after the Wanderers recruited former Melbourne Victory youngster Anthony Lesiotis on a two-year deal last week.

"Graham is a fantastic professional and has played at the top-level in the Premier League, Championship and Scottish Premiership for over a decade," Wanderers chief executive John Tsatsimas said.

"We look forward to welcoming Graham to our centre of football in Western Sydney and adding his experience, leadership and know-how to our squad.

"We have absolute faith in the signings Carl is making, he understands the areas where he wants to bolster in his squad, and we are actively pursuing these targets."

Dorrans will complete hotel quarantine before joining the Wanderers' squad.
