Talented mare Crymenotears was once earmarked as a sprinter by her trainer Rob Heathcote but that could be about to change if she wins the Class 4 Plate over 1400 metres at Eagle Farm on Wednesday.

Queensland stewards have opened an inquiry into the possession and possible use of a banned substance at the stables of one of Brisbane’s top trainers.

Trainer Rob Heathcote admits to making an error of judgement with Crymenotears and is hopeful the promising filly can continue her recent run of good form at Doomben on Saturday.
