Race Synopsis:An impressive last start winner of the Aquanita Stakes (Listed, 2000m) here two weeks ago, Come Play With Me continues on his winning way, this his fourth successive win, his fifth in his last six starts and eighth overall in 16 starts. A slowish early pace saw him lob along among the last four (rails) all the way to the 800m where jockey Peter Knuckey crept forward to be in behind the leaders. Approaching the last corner they eased away from the fence, found a gap at the top of the straight then strode to the front at the 200m. After a brief tussle he eased ahead to have the race under control near the post. State Prosecutor co-led one out at the 600m, took over to the 200m, gave the winner a brief fight but had to settle for second a half length back. Habesha finished well from near last to nab third from Paddy's Shadow who fought on quite well for fourth.
