Race Synopsis:Consistent Jenny Graham-trained gelding Victorem took his record to seven wins (five placings) from 15 stakes in recording his second stakes success here. He settled back in second last place in the 13-horse field and remained there until the home turn. He was held up for clear running on turning for home, got a split at the 200m, when still six lengths from the leader, but he sprinted quickly and then went on to score quite impressively. Whypeeo worked to find the lead. He then set quite a good tempo, held a clear advantage on straightening only to be overtaken in the latter stages for second. The $51 outsider Split Lip was last to the home turn and caught the eye running on really well for third.
