GROUPIES RESULTS - Autumn 2021 round 4
Australian Guineas / Chipping Norton Stakes / Surround Stakes

Well you couldn’t say that racing is boring and predictable considering the results of the three Group 1 races this week.

Understandably nobody tipped 300/1 (fixed price) shot Lunar Fox to win the Australian Guineas, but the Chipping Norton Stakes reassuringly delivered a gritty win by Groupies favourite Verry Elleegant and another exciting contest between two Queens of the Turf.

A rare occurrence for the Groupies, nobody tipped any of the place getters in the Surround Stakes

So scores were pretty low this round, Sydeston being the top scorer with 12.9 points courtesy of his tips for Cherry Tortoni and Verry Elleegant.

RJ1 scored enough points to jump to the top of the Autumn Leaderboard with De Lago Dude and Pigracer in hot pursuit in second and third spots.

Welcome back to Linojan and Ramses – glad to have you back in the Groupies Competition.

As far as the Yearly Leaderboard is concerned, not much has changed with Loges2 and The Mighty Quinn still occupying the top spots.

Thank you for that. I missed this weeks but will try next time. Pity though, my best was Zoutori. Been waiting over a year to see him win that. Knew it would happen sooner or later
