GROUPIES RESULTS – Spring 2020 round 6

Flight Stakes / Turnbull Stakes / Epsom / Metropolitan

It certainly was a tricky round, with favourites in the main being rolled, so it’s not surprising that those who thought outside the square scored more points than others.

Jet, a late arrival to the Spring Groupies competition, this week being only his second tipping contribution, certainly has made up for lost time being the top scorer this round.

He scored points on all four of the races, selecting two winners in Verry Elleegant and Probabeel and two runners up in Hungry Heart and Mugatoo, accruing a total of 33 points.

Other notable tipping feats were Oldtimer’s tip for Montefilia in the Flight Stakes and Euraman’s selection of Mirage Dancer in the Metropolitan.

Jet now occupies second place on the Spring Leaderboard, only 5.5 points behind Loges2 who still hangs on to top spot.

Next Saturday is Guineas Day at Caulfield with four Group 1 races on the card. Randwick features the Spring Champion Stakes, so all up there are five Group 1 races to tip.
