Mystic Prince was midfield following a moderate pace. He got between runners and about seventh at the 600m when the tempo increased. He got a nice split on straightening, moving to fourth at the 200m, then finished too well and went on for a good win, running the 2400m out well. The classy filly Moreish was well back in the 16-horse field. She was fourth last and wide approaching the home turn, fanned wide on straightening and ran on well for a good second. Desert Glow was about tenth on the rails to the turn, switched out at the 300m, and ran on nicely, putting up a sound effort for third. *ANZ
