Talented mare Sheidel took her record to ten wins from 14 starts with another smart effort in winning here. She was quickly away from her barrier (4) and went to the front, then steadied the early tempo (first 400m 24.98) on the Heavy8 track. She got a clear break rounding the home turn and fought back strongly to score a smart win. Silverstream was seventh on the rails, went along the inner from the 300m, challenged at the 100m and fought well for a good second. Her stablemate Shining Knight was last in the ten-horse field to the home turn, switched deep shortly after straightening and finished very well, with her top weight (58.5kg), for third in an eye-catching effort.
