At her third start this preparation, one of WA's better two-yearold from last season, Lady Cosmology bagged win two (both stakes) to go along with two Group placings from just six starts. She was one of the first three into stride but soon took over by a half-length passing the 1000m. The lead remained the same at the 600m yet rider Paul Harvey had not moved. When Harvey asked her for more in the straight, she lengthened stride and kept up to her work to win by more than a length. Flirtini sat outside the leader and eventual winner, got within a half-length near the last corner and challenged into the straight but could not make any impression, barely holding second. Arcadia Queen began her run from the 600m, was widest turning then flew down the outer to be a nose back in third. Shapita was third into the straight then battled, just holding on for fourth.
