Highly consistent mare Misty Metal took her record to eight wins (four placings) from 15 starts in taking out her first stakes victory here in a really smart performance. She was brilliantly away from her wide barrier (11) and went straight to the front. She then travelled nicely, dashed clear on turning for home and went on to win decisively. Celebrity Dream raced midfield (wide with cover), switched out on straightening and finished on well to take second. Private Dancer had a nice run in seventh place on the rails from her inside barrier (1), got through to third on turning for home and battled on to hold third in a photo. The favourite Pearls And Prawns was handily placed but caught wide, without cover, and faded after a difficult trip to finish 12th.
