The Fred Kersley-trained filly Mizlecki took her record to five wins and three placings from 13 starts in taking out her third stakes success in scoring here. She travelled nicely, midfield on the rails, behind a steady pace before angling for a run on straightening. She got along the inner, took the lead at the 200m and then went on to win impressively. Aconite settled back in second last place in the 14-horse field, before tracking up (wide) from the 700m. She then put in a strong run in the centre of the track and ran on well to take second, a nose in advance of Paddy's Shadow who had been shuffled back in the mid-stages before moving up well (deep) approaching the home turn and then fighting on gamely in the straight.
