The Peter Moody-trained filly Clover Lane did well to win here on debut. She began smartly and raced outside the leader Sabatini. She put pressure to that runner shortly after straightening, gradually got the better of her from the 200m and went on to win nicely by a length, handling the Heavy8 conditions well. She went to the post well, looking suited to further and seems to be a very handy filly. Sabatiniheld on nicely for second after leading to the 200m while the winner’s stablemate Legal Assistant held on for third after being handily placed on the rails all the way. *ANZ
