Three-year-old gelding Dornier improved on two moderate previous starts, stepping up in trip to win very well here. He settled well back in tenth place, wide with cover before improving under riding (widest of all) rounding the home turn. He grabbed the lead approaching the post and appeared to win with something in hand. It was a promising smart effort and is a horse to watch.
