Skarsgard followed good barrier trial form with an easy debut win. He soon drove through from his inside barrier (1) to lead and then travelled comfortably in front. He grabbed break at the 200m and went to the post with his ears pricked to win by two and a quarter lengths. He looks set to progress to better things. Run It Twice, also on debut, was last to the home turn and caught the eye, running on late to get second. *ANZ
