Kiwi Kate, who was resuming after her debut fifth at this track in November, travelled well in fourth place on the rails in the small five-horse field. She got an inside run rounding the home turn, took the lead at the 200m and despite racing greenly, fought back to score nicely by a neck. She looks suited to further and should continue to progress. *ANZ
