Tab Early Quaddie (Bm70)
The Chris Waller-trained colt Super Willie began smartly and went straight to the lead. He travelled along nicely in front, was under pressure from the 200m but he kept responding well and fought back to win by a neck for his first win in three starts. Mohave raced outside the leader and eventual winner Super Willie all the way and battled on quite well for second. His Godolphin-raced stablemate Segregation, was a disappointing favourite. He was fourth, one out and one back but was under riding approaching the turn and he weakened in the straight to finish (4.7 lengths) last in the small five-horse field, at this first run since winning on debut at Caulfield in May.
