Coolcraft had raced consistently in three previous starts and broke through for a narrow but good win here. He settled in sixth place one off the rails, before improving his position wide approaching the home turn. He sprinted quickly from the 200m and looked to win with something in hand by a long head. He looks quite promising. Ballinaclash began well and took the lead. He travelled nicely in front, grabbed a break on straightening and was only run down nearing the post. Ziggy Willie raced behind the leader, looked a threat when he challenged at the 150m and then fought on for a close third, after seeming to have every chance.
