Godolphin-raced filly Manicure put up a promising effort in winning here at her second race start. After beginning smartly from her outside barrier (9) she settled well outside the leaded (Sasso Corbaro) before putting pressure on that runner at the home turn. She finally got the upper hand nearing the post and drew to the front for a good win. The Kris Lees-trained filly Sasso Corbaro impressed on debut. She showed good pace to lead and fought back gamely all the way in the straight, only being overtaken nearing the post for a good debut effort. The Chris Waller-trained filly Aonair settled back in last place in the ninehorse field, went widest of all at the home turn and then caught the eye in making good late ground for third also staging a promising effort on debut.
