Chris Waller-trained colt Beidi staged a promising effort in winning here on debut. He began well from his inside barrier (1) and settled nicely in third place, on the rails, tracking a good tempo. He moved up to challenge at the 200m, hit the front at the 100m and then went on to score comfortably. The Peter and Paul Snowden-trained colt Munich raced outside the leader (Calipari), got to the front on turning for home and then fought back well for second after working most of the way, his second such placing in four starts to date.
