The high-class three-year-old All Too Hard scored a good first-up win, his second Group One victory in his 10-start career. He began quite well but was eased to settle seventh, one off the rails, after starting from the outside barrier in the nine-horse field. He switched out wide at the home turn and put in a strong run to take the lead at the 100m then fight on for a good half length win, being well ridden by Dwayne Dunn. Mawingo travelled well in fifth place on the rails to the turn. He was held up for a run before being taken across heels at the 150m. He then finished well for a late-closing second in a very good first-up performance. The WA stayer Mr Moet, who was making his eastern coast debut, settled at the tail of the field. He was still last at the 200m point before finishing well for an eye-catching third. Wall Street was sixth one off the rails before improving three wide nearing the home turn. He put in a good run in the straight, getting to third at the 100m, before battling on for a sound fist-up fourth. The New Zealand multiple-Group One winner King Mufhasa set the pace, as is customary for him, leading to the 200m then holding on fairly well for fifth. The previously unbeaten Callanish, winner of all his eight starts, resumed and raced outside the leader (King Mufhasa) to the 200m before tiring to finish eighth. *ANZ
