Jet Away was a bit slowly away and recovered to be travelling well seventh on the rails but in a slow pace. He was giving the leader about eight lengths when the tempo increased at the 600m, having no option but to seek an inside run at the turn and was fortunate to get into the clear at the 300m, then showed quality in sprinting home for a neck win at the post. Folding Gear was ninth one off the rails, and was under pressure when the pace picked up nearing the turn. He fanned wide at the 300m and ran on well, late for a good second in the sprint home. The consistent Whisper Downs was seventh one off the rails, switched wide on straightening, challenged at the 200m and fought on for a close third. Keep Cool raced outside the leader (Zabisco) with the pair setting a moderate pace, he took the lead on turning for home and held on for fourth with Zabisco just holding on for fifth. *ANZ
